CHICAGO — ORBA, one of Chicago’s largest public accounting firms, is pleased to announce that Kurt Anderson has joined the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group and Alison Buchelt has joined the firm’s Administration team.
Kurt Anderson is a Senior Manager in the firm’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. As a CPA and attorney with more than 30 years of experience, Kurt has a robust background in tax and transactional planning, as well as corporate finance. His expertise extends to managing complex legal ventures and tax structuring for businesses, ensuring maximum profitability for clients. Kurt’s diverse legal background and strong accounting credentials gives him the ability to oversee and administer a broad range of business interests.
Kurt’s previous experience includes serving as a director of tax and tax counsel at a multi-billion-dollar family office, where he advised on all tax-related matters, including individuals, private equity, not-for-profits, partnerships, trusts, gifts and corporations. His experience also includes serving as the director of global tax for a private equity owned, multinational manufacturer in the white appliance industry. Kurt received his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School and his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois.
Alison Buchelt is an Administrative Assistant at the firm. She specializes in providing administrative support, handling client billing, drafting documents, conducting research and overseeing office operations for a number of the firm’s Directors. Alison received her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from North Central College and her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish K- 12 Education from the University of Louisville.
