James started at ORBA as a member of the firm’s Tax Processing Group, where he assisted with the preparation of tax returns. From there, he moved to the Accounting Services Group. His responsibilities include creating and processing bills for a variety of clients across multiple industries and tracking payments to ensure prompt delivery. He assists individuals and businesses with a range of accounting needs and tax compliance, including preparing financial documents and reconciling bank statements.

Proactive
James utilizes his strong communication skills to effectively convey strategies and alleviate clients’ concerns. His engineering background makes him well suited to handle the mathematical and technical requirements of processing clients’ needs. His prior experience as an academic tutor and as a student services representative gives him the ability to explain complex tax and accounting concepts in a clear and succinct way. He excels in his ability to prioritize tasks and provide his full attention to assignments and serving his clients.
Outside of the Office
Outside of the office, you will find James following his passion for writing and performing stand-up comedy around Chicago and the United States. He plays Dungeons & Dragons with different groups and is an avid tabletop game player. James also enjoys giving back to his community, previously having participated in a Habitat for Humanity mission trip and in The Second City’s volunteer program. After enjoying a college summer abroad in Sydney, Australia, as well as a brief tour through Europe after college, James would like to continue seeing the world and crossing off various locations on his bucket list.
